Obama Does Not Support SOPA/PIPA

Lest you be mislead by the abundance of misinformation, President Obama does not support SOPA/PIPA and that the office of the president  “will not support legislation that reduces freedom of expression, increases cybersecurity risk, or undermines the dynamic, innovative global Internet.”

The statement further reads:

“Any effort to combat online piracy must guard against the risk of online censorship of lawful activity and must not inhibit innovation by our dynamic businesses large and small. Across the globe, the openness of the Internet is increasingly central to innovation in business, government, and society and it must be protected.”

Doesn’t sound like someone who wishes to “pee on the constitution” to me.

Believes that the Panama Canal should be the property of the United States,

Believes that the International Baccalaureate program is UN mind control,

With the founder of Stormfront, a Nazi Website,

And does nothing to prevent their association with his campaign.

Has gone on record that he had no knowledge of the content of the racist newsletters that bore his name AND signature,

But has not only quoted them, but personally defended the newsletters in the past,

And later admitted he WAS aware of the contents and that only “some of [it was] offensive.”

His issues with race go as far as to vote against the Rosa Parks medal (sole vote, again), saying it is a “waste of taxpayer dollars” and that it was unconsitiutional…

Despite the fact that the bill itself is very clear about a separate fund. All profit from this fund is returned to the Treasury.

However, he had no issues with using taxpayer funds to mint coins for the Boy Scouts,

AND introduce legislation that would spend $240 Million making medals for EVERY veteran of the Cold War,

But didn’t bother to repeat his argument those times about unconstitutional spending as he had with the Rosa Parks Medal.

Introduced legislation, twice, that would allow schools to re-segregate.

His SuperPAC is headed by Thomas Woods, the founder of the League of the South, of which the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) labeled a “racist hate group.”

Also in association with the League via Thomas Woods is the Mises Institute, of which Lew Rockwell is an Administrator…

Is against Hate Crime laws,

Would have voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964,

He also believes The Civil Rights Act destroyed Privacy,

Despite always “voting against earmarks,” he was only one of four House Repubs to request earmarks in 2011 for over $157mil. (And in FY 2010, was one of the leading House members in requesting earmarks for a total of $398mil.)

And during his entire tenure, he has managed only one, out of 620, of his bills to get signed into law.

So, Dash gets this thing in a Happy Meal or, some such.

I’m not entirely sure when I first encountered Pokemon.  Probably not long after they were invented.  The five oldest kids all had cards and whatever else.  I never noticed this guy before.  Holy crap!  His little butt (eh, thingy) even lights up!

Oh yeah.  Hi.  It’s been a while.

Aiyana Jones Murdered

7 year old Aiyana Jones was shot and killed in Detroit early Sunday morning (5/16/10).

The cops killed her.

The first breaking news reported that it was an accident…  It gets much worse from there. Much.

The target was Chauncey Owens, they suspect that he killed Jerean Blake, 17. The Detroit police achieved a no-knock warrant for Owens, who was in the apartment upstairs.  The police SWAT team arrived at 12:45am with camera crews from The First 48 to forcibly enter both units of the duplex.  The SWAT team tossed a flash grenade through a window, which landed on and burned the young girl, then a dispute of the sequence of events begins:

1).  Either the police shot through the front door striking her in the neck, head, and killing Aiyana as she was burning alive from the grenade…. then entered to home to discover what they had done.

2).  Or, they entered the home, were confronted by the child’s grandmother, who reached around the riot shield, grabbed the officers weapon, and forced it to discharge several times, striking Aiyana in the head, neck, and killing her as she burned alive from one of the flash grenades.

No matter what side of the story is true.  The child remains dead and there is footage, as the camera crews filmed the entire incident.

Geoffrey Fieger now represents the family, the mayor is angry with Fieger and accuses him of just cashing in.

To make matters worse, Jerean Blake’s mother is saying that Aiyana’s father and Owens bragged about killing her son, who may have looked at Owens wrong.

The story has dropped as a headline from local news.

The Reverand Al Sharpton will (likely) give the eulogy.

Imagine if she were white.
